Important Updates to GLA:D™ Canada Training Eligibility

To better align with international GLA:D clinician training standards, we have made the following changes:

  • Eligible Course Participants – Training is now limited to four specified exercise-based health professionals (Registered Physiotherapists, Registered Chiropractors, Kinesiologists, and Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology – Clinical Exercise Physiologists (CSEP-CEP)). Physiotherapy Assistants/Resident Physiotherapists/Students are not eligible to participate in the training. No exceptions will be made.
  • Experience Requirement – There is now no longer a minimum two-year practice experience requirement.
  • Simplified Registration Process – Kinesiologists and CSEP-CEPs no longer need to submit an application; however, if not registered with a regulatory college then proof of credentials (e.g., membership or certification with a recognized professional association/body) is required.
