There is a large and growing body of research each year on hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA), and this has advanced both our understanding of the condition and the effectiveness of treatments.
Through participation in the Certification course, all clinicians who are delivering the GLA:D Canada program have the basic information about OA. This Masters Course has been developed to support certified GLA:D clinicians who are seeking to build upon their knowledge to ensure that they have the most up-to-date research to share with their patients.
Who Can Participate:
1) A certified GLA:D™ Canada clinician;
2) Must have experience delivering the GLA:D™ Canada program for at least 3 years.
Course Format:
Independent learning through a series of online video modules (total 2 hours) that will cover:
1. Update on evidence on OA and first, second and third line treatments
2. Update on evidence on OA in younger people and education
3. Update on pain systems and management of pain in OA
*Note this course is only for individuals who have previously been GLA:D certified to offer the program in Canada. If you have NOT been certified, you need to register for the certification course first and ensure you have experience with the program prior to attending this Masters course. Individuals who register without meeting the required criteria (Who Can Participate) will not be permitted to participate in the Master Course. No refunds will be issued for ineligible registrations.
